Mānuka Mead
The Essence of New Zealand, Bottled
Mānuka honey is New Zealand’s most famous honey - maybe even the world's most famous. When we first experimented with it, we were blown away. Nothing is added - just Mānuka honey - and the complexity of flavours is unlike anything you’ve tried before.
Mānuka mead is deep, rich, and layered, with flavours that shift as you sip. The weight of it on the palate is reminiscent of port, but it’s more moreish, more nuanced. It carries the land it comes from in every drop - earthy, spicy, and sweet.
TASTING NOTESVanilla, warm spices, subtle woodiness, and the unmistakable richness of mānuka honey.
MANUKA RECOGNITION“The bouquet is unique with scents of wild flowers and honeysuckle, manuka flowers then suggestions of honey and a quiet yet exotic perfume. On the palate a fresh mead taste with a quiet rush of sweetness then honey, manuka and wild flowers. Persistent, lengthy and well made, a beverage for everyday drinking and a natural alternative to wine and other alcoholic beverages. Natural with a light leesy quality. Best from day of purchase through to 2030. Perhaps keep chilled once open.”
