Mead To Match The Season

Our limited edition seasonal range matches a mead with each season, and are available in limited numbers each quarter.

Just like you pair a drink with your meal, you can match it to your season - These meads allow you to discover a new flora taste experience as you move through the year.

Complex, rich flavours do well in cooler weather, while clean, fresh flavours can be savoured on warmer days.

Spring

Spring does not arrive with a roar, but with a whisper.

When the weather is grey, nights are long, and the cool air comes from the south, the first shoots of new life draw a new sense of possibility.

Memories of warm afternoons come to mind and we start looking ahead. New blooms appear reminding us of the delightful complexities of the world we exist in. Plants that shouldered off the winter cold start to rise up. Subtle changes in colour, aroma, and taste appear - just as you notice the mornings getting gradually lighter.

Spring is possibility. The unknown future. The promise of the new, as yet unknown experience.

Our 2026 spring release embraces a sense of place, new life, with subtle flavours you cannot quite put a name to, but recognise anyway. Sourced from honey made in Lavender fields of Mid-Canterbury, each drop celebrates promise and possibility

Summer

Sweet like a lazy summer afternoon at the beach.

The sound of cicadas in the trees behind the house.

Food on the BBQ and friends around.

Summer is a long exhaled breath.

While the coastal nature of our country means you never know what the weather brings, our Christmas traditions are relaxed - more associated with jandals than formality.

Out summer mead is made with honey gathered from the natural bush of the Marlborough Sounds, where steep, forested hills fall into sheltered bays. Holiday homes cling to the cliffs above the water, accessible only by boat, and protected from the open sea by the surrounding land.

A small-batch release, made possible thanks to the work of Marlborough beekeepers.

Autumn

Rich in flavour, aroma, and the subtle hint of nostalgia for days you missed.

Coming in March, our autumn mead reflects the ripe abundance of stone-fruit in Central Otago.

Winter

A time for relationships and cosy rituals.

As the weather cools we stay indoors, embracing comfort food and flavours that warm the soul as much as the body.

Our Winter seasonal mead celebrate the Matariki season.

Mulled mānuka mead merges Aotearoa flora and spices for a uniquely New Zealand version of a winter ritual shared across cultures for millennia.

Gently mulled with cinnamon, cloves, and star anise, bringing warmth and spice to the natural sweetness of honey.
